Finding the cheapest taxi to Terminal 3
Long-haul trips usually mean more luggage, so it’s tempting to over-book on car size. As a rule of thumb, a saloon takes two large cases, an estate takes four, and a 6-seat MPV takes four large cases plus hand luggage. Choose the smallest car that genuinely fits, book early and add your return journey for a 5% discount. Our fares never surge, so you’ll pay the same at 5am as at midday.
Drop-off at Terminal 3
Your driver brings you through the central tunnel to the Terminal 3 departures forecourt and stops right outside the entrance. The Heathrow drop-off charge is already included in your fare. Inside, check-in zones are arranged by airline – look for the overhead signs as you walk in.
For long-haul flights, airlines recommend arriving three hours before departure. Emirates, Virgin and American all run large aircraft from T3, so check-in queues can build quickly. We’ll suggest a pickup time with a sensible buffer.
Arriving at Terminal 3
Long-haul flights often land early in the morning, and Terminal 3’s arrivals hall can be busy when several wide-body aircraft land together. We track your flight, so your driver arrives when you do. You’ll get a text with their name and number, and they’ll be waiting with a name board as you come out. They’ll take your bags to the car in the short-stay car park nearby.
Your 60 minutes of free waiting start at touchdown – usually plenty for immigration and baggage reclaim, even after a full jumbo.

Some itineraries involve a Virgin or oneworld flight into Terminal 3 and a British Airways flight out of Terminal 5, or vice versa.
