Terminal 2 – officially the Queen’s Terminal – is Heathrow’s newest terminal building and the base for the Star Alliance airlines. It handles a mix of short-haul European flights and long-haul departures to North America and Asia. Who flies from Terminal 2?
Terminal 2 is used by Star Alliance members including Lufthansa, United, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, Austrian, TAP Air Portugal and Turkish Airlines, along with Aer Lingus and a number of other carriers. Allocations change occasionally, so check your ticket – or give us your flight number and we’ll check it for you.

Drop-off at the Queen’s Terminal
Your driver follows the signs through the central tunnel to the Terminal 2 departures forecourt and drops you outside the main doors. Terminal 2 has one large, bright departure hall with check-in arranged by airline, so it’s easy to find your desk. The Heathrow drop-off charge is included in your fare – you won’t see it added on the day.
Many Terminal 2 flights are short-haul to Europe, where two hours before departure is usually enough. For long-haul Star Alliance flights, allow three hours. We’ll suggest a pickup time when you book.
Pickups from Terminal 2 arrivals
We track your flight in real time. When you land, your driver makes their way to the Terminal 2 arrivals hall and waits with a name board. You’ll get a text with their name and mobile number. Once you’ve collected your bags, they’ll walk you across to the car in the short-stay car park – just a few minutes via the covered walkway.
Your 60 minutes of free waiting start when you land. If passport control is slow, just let your driver know.

Short-haul business trips from T2
Terminal 2 is busy with same-day business travel – early flights to Frankfurt, Zurich, Munich or Dublin and back in the evening. We’re used to tight schedules: your driver arrives on time in the morning, and for the evening return we track your flight so we’re there when you land, even if the meeting ran late and you caught an earlier or later flight. Executive cars and business accounts with monthly invoicing are available. Ask us about setting one up.

Choose the smallest car that fits your bags, book your return at the same time for 5% off, and book ahead to get the vehicle you want. Our fares don’t surge, so a 5am pickup costs the same as one at noon.

Terminal 2 facilities worth knowing
Terminal 2 has a large departure hall with self-service check-in and bag drop for most airlines, which usually keeps queues moving. After security there’s a wide choice of shops and restaurants, and the satellite pier (T2B) is linked by an underground walkway, so allow a few extra minutes if your gate is there. On arrival, the terminal is straightforward to navigate – follow the signs for arrivals and exit to find your driver.
Taxi vs parking at Terminal 2
For a quick day trip, parking can make sense. For a week away, a return taxi usually works out similar or cheaper once you add long-stay parking, fuel and the shuttle bus – and you’re dropped at the door rather than a car park on the airport perimeter. Get a quote and compare.
Flying with children from T2
We can fit baby seats, child seats and boosters on request. Tell us the ages when you book and the right seats will be fitted before your driver arrives. An estate or MPV gives you room for pushchairs and the extra bags that come with family travel.
